Oregon picked up a late addition for the upcoming 2025-26 season this week with the news that Turkish forward Efe Vatan has committed to the Ducks.

Vatan is a 6’10” forward that spent the past season playing in Turkey’s U19 league where he averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 34% from beyond the arc. Vatan is the second international player joining Oregon this summer, joining big man Ege Demir who signed in July. The two big men will join Nate Bittle in a frontcourt that is starting to look stacked with depth and versatility.

Oregon will likely play Vatan at the four where his perimeter shooting will allow him to help spread the floor while his size will still allow for the Ducks to utilize him at the rim on the defensive side of the ball. He was a bit streaky at times overseas from three, something that needs to be cleaned up as he heads stateside.
