Five Dollar Days at Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens are back just in time for summer.

On select dates in July, general admission for visitors is just $5. Only five tickets can be purchased per transaction and children two years old and under can enter free.

The award-winning North Florida attraction is open to guests from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, according to Jacksonville Zoo. Tickets can be purchased for the same day until 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. marks last entry.

Total experience tickets include admission, Frozen in Time: An Ice Age Adventure, 4D Theater, train and carousel rides, Nature Agents adventure and animal feedings.

And in August, up to five children between the ages 3-12 can get free daytime general admission with a paying adult. Tickets must be purchased online.

The Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens released a commercial, “FOR,” in May, celebrating and embracing the zoo’s new name and rebrand.

“This rebrand is more than a new logo, it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re going,” said Nikki Smith, the zoo’s chief philanthropy and marketing officer in a previous article. “We’re not just a place for animals. We’re also a thriving botanical garden, a conservation leader, and a hub for education for all ages.”
