Re “US Air Force to deny retirement pay to transgender service members being separated from the service” (Aug. 7): Wow! Let me get this straight (pun intended). Active military in good standing will be denied retirement benefits because they are transgender. If that isn’t blatant discrimination I don’t know what is. What’s next? Denying retirement benefits to women, Black people and non-European Americans? What has happened to my country?
