SAN ANTONIO – Drivers should prepare for major frontage road closures this weekend as part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion program, the Texas Department of Transportation announced.

From 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, crews will close the westbound I-410 frontage road from Randolph Boulevard to Perrin Beitel, the westbound I-410 ramp to Austin Highway, and the Austin Highway intersection at the westbound I-410 frontage road.

The shutdown will allow crews to install steel girders as part of the ongoing multi-year project aimed at expanding and improving I-35.
