JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WBMA) — The City of Jacksonville is inviting residents to a public involvement meeting on Tuesday to discuss proposed pedestrian safety improvements on Public Square. The meeting will take place at Jacksonville City Hall, located at 320 Church Avenue SE, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is designed as an informal, come-and-go gathering, allowing attendees to participate at their convenience within the two-hour timeframe. There will be no formal presentation, but project information will be available through visual displays.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with City of Jacksonville staff and consulting engineers. The city encourages residents to provide their input, whether through discussions or by submitting written comments on forms provided at the meeting.

“We encourage all interested citizens to attend and provide their comments,” said city officials.
