Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect hot, humid weather and chances of rain showers and thunderstorms this week.

Jason Dunn, National Weather Service meteorologist, said that the temperature will reach the mid to upper 90s, with low rain chances each afternoon this week.

“It’s going to be hot and humid, so you want to just continue to take those heat precautions,” Dunn said.

Weekly Outlook:

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 99 and a 20% chance of precipitation during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 79 at night.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 99 during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 79 and a 20% chance of precipitation at night.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 98 and a 40% chance of precipitation during the day. Partly cloudy with a low around 76 and a 40% chance of precipitation at night.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 95 and a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day. Partly cloudy with a low around 75 and a 20% chance of precipitation at night.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 94 and a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 75 at night.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 95 during the day.
