Flynn said, “To be on The Young and the Restless, and to be on CBS, is a dream come true. It’s my mom’s favorite soap opera, so mom you’re welcome. I know all of these actors, I’ve been watching them, and been admiring them for years. I know a lot of the people at CBS and Sony that work behind the scenes, and I love absolutely all of them, and I am just grateful to be here I really am.”
Flynn’s former co-star Stephen Nichols took to the comment section to wish his friend well. Saying, “They are lucky to have you, buddy. We are missing you. ♥️.” While fans took to the comment section to show their support. “Congratulations Billy and welcome to the Y&R can’t wait to see what you do with your role as Aristotle Dumas I hope you have fun and enjoy working on the CBS hit show🎉🎊” Wrote one fan, while another shared, “Best thing ever to see my favorite daytime actor on Y&R❤️”
Goddard left the role of Cane in 2019. On screen, Cane’s father Collin scammed Cane’s former brother-in-law Devon out of 2.4 billion dollars. Collin fled town and Cane left, vowing to track him down, clear his name, and return the money back to Devon. Cane was able to return the money, but has stayed away from Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Goddard has taken on the role of Henry Dalton on General Hospital.
Due to Days of Our Lives filming schedule, Flynn will continue to air on Days of Our Lives until early 2026. Exact storyline details for how Flynn will exit Days of Our Lives have not been revealed yet.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS and streams weeknights on Paramount+.
