When the Colorado Avalanche preseason schedule was released, there was a notification that the team wouldn’t be traveling to Utah for the away portion of the split-squad match on September 21st but instead the game would be hosted somewhere in Colorado. That host is now known as the Avalanche will play at Magness Arena at 2:30 p.m. “at Utah” and then at 6:30 p.m. against Utah at Ball Arena to complete their first two preseason games.

If that’s still not enough hockey for you, there’s another game on the schedule in which Avalanche legends will face-off against University of Denver alumni at Magness Arena on August 24th at 5 p.m.

Both Cale Makar and Devon Toews made the NHL Network’s Top 20 Defensemen list, with should made both the Colorado Avalanche and Team Canada very proud.

Finally, it’s pretty crazy that Nathan MacKinnon and Joe Sakic have produced the exact same number of points in the exact same number of games through their Avalanche careers.
