Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty, riding on the high of a possible GST rejig, has surged by over 300 points.The Sensex is up a major 1000 points, rising closer to the the 82.000 mark

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets have opened the floodgates, as the marquee indices trounce the red to surge in the green. The Nifty is trading with a massive surge of over 360 points, inching closer to 25,000.

The Sensex index has soared by over 1,000 points, jumping to 81,700. The broader markets are also on the rise. The Nifty Bank index is trading wth a rise of 725.85 points.

Among the individual stocks, the auto, FMCG, feed and AC, among other consumer goods stocks, are on the rise. Maruti Suzuki has surged and is witnessing its highest surge in nearly 4 years.

On the flip side, the 24,500-24,550 levels have emerged as a strong support as of last week. We’ll watch for some final earnings reactions from Inox Wind, Vodafone Idea, Zaggle Prepaid and Hindustan Copper. KEC International has won orders, while JK Cement has approved expansion plans.
