PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a man riding on an electric scooter was killed in west Phoenix on Saturday night.
Officers were called to the area of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road shortly after 7:30 p.m. and found a man unresponsive in the roadway. He was rushed to a hospital where he died a short time later.
He has since been identified as 59-year-old Eden Cuautli Zacatelco.
Investigators believe Zacatelco was riding his scooter westbound on Indian School when he was struck by a vehicle, believed to be a black truck, that fled before first responders arrived.
