Nashville SC vs. New York City FC on Aug. 17 at Yankee Stadium has resumed in the 41st minute after a 94-minute weather delay due to lightning in the area.

NYCFC’s Andres Perea scored to tie the game at 1-1 in the 40th minute, immediately before the delay took effect.

Nashville (14-7-5, 47 points) took the lead in the 10th minute on a goal by Jacob Shaffelburg. NSC, which came into the game third place in the Eastern Conference, is looking to avoid a three-game losing streak.

New York City FC (11-8-5, 38 points) entered the match 10th in the East, one point behind the New York Red Bulls for the final playoff spot.

After the conclusion of the first half, there will be a standard 15-minute halftime break before the second half.
