BOISE, Idaho — The 36th Annual Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron concluded Sunday with Mexico’s Emilio Gonzalez earning his first Korn Ferry Tour victory while the tournament set a new charitable giving record.
Gonzalez rallied with a 10-under-par 61 at Hillcrest Country Club to claim the title and secure his PGA Tour card for the 2026 season. He became the first player from Mexico to win a Korn Ferry event in four years.
Tournament organizers announced that this year’s event raised over $3 million for charity, bringing the tournament’s 36-year total to more than $42 million, a record on the Korn Ferry Tour. The announcement was made at the Hershey Company Pro-Am Dinner in front of 800 tournament sponsors, local media partners and special guests.
The tournament weathered serious heat during practice rounds last week but enjoyed pleasant conditions for the competition, including a light August shower on Sunday.
The Albertsons Boise Open has been played annually since 1990, the inaugural year of what was then known as the Ben Hogan Tour. Albertsons, a major western U.S. supermarket retailer, has served as the title sponsor since 2002. Albertsons Companies plans to extend its title sponsorship of the event until 2028.
