Yeadon police have charged a Lansdowne man in a May shooting.

On Friday police charged Gregory L. Wilson, 38, with attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license, terroristic threats and possession of an instrument of crime.

In an announcement on Facebook, Yeadon police, in partnership with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Criminal Investigative Division, announced the arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred May 22 at Penn and Church in Yeadon.

Police and ambulance crews were dispatched shortly after 12:30 p.m. to Penn Street and Holly Road for a gunshot victim.  Police found the male in the 500 block of Church Lane with a graze wound to the head.

Officers were looking for a Lincoln, and it was stopped within seconds, radio traffic from that day indicated.

Upper Darby, Lansdowne, East Lansdowne, Darby and Sharon Hill police assisted.

Police said video as well as information from community members helped identify Wilson as the shooter.

Wilson was arraigned before District Justice Benjamin Johns, who set bail at $250,000. Johns was taken to Delaware County prison.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 28 in front of District Judge Keith Williams II.
