After a hot a summery weekend here in Central New York with a high temperature of 91 degrees on Saturday and 88 degrees on Sunday, the weather was much more refreshing and less humid, but at the same time very enjoyable!

Syracuse and the rest of our area receive deep blue skies and some high thin cirrus with high temperatures mostly in the lower to middle 70s.

Looking ahead, each day will have different weather than the previous day.

Here are our next weather makers:

As noted above Tuesday looks to be a transition day with a mixture of filtered sunshine and clouds that will tend to increase and/or thicken during the day. While I cannot completely rule out a sprinkle or isolated shower late, most spots should be dry or nearly dry throughout much of the day.

Our first chance for spotty light rain will occur during Tuesday evening with heavier, more widespread rain more likely at and after midnight Tuesday night.

We will be carefully monitoring the rain and when it moves in, especially for the Jonas Brothers concert at the Lakeview Amphitheater Tuesday evening.

Here is your forecast for the Jonas Brothers concert:

The steadier, heavier, more widespread rain that moves in around midnight Tuesday night and continue through at least Wednesday morning. The rest of Wednesday still appears to be overcast and cloudy for the rest of the day. There will probably be some leftover areas of drizzle, sprinkles or steadier light rain leftover over parts of our area Wednesday afternoon.

It also appears that Wednesday’s high temperature will most likely be the coolest high since June 1st!

June 1st was the last time the high temperature was under 70 degrees and under 60 degrees!

To me, it looks like temperatures will most likely not get out of the 60s throughout the day Wednesday for the first day of the Fair.

After a slow start in the sky department Thursday morning with stubborn cloud cover and/or fog with pesky mist and drizzle. However, from north to south, I am hopeful that clouds will give way to sunshine.

The forecast for Friday looks summery and lovely with a new system entering our area for the second half of the weekend.
