Valley Youth Theatre has named Abbie S. Fink, president of HMA Public Relations, as chair of its 2025-26 board of directors.
Fink, a longtime Scottsdale resident and supporter of live theater, will lead the nonprofit’s volunteer board, which oversees governance, financial stewardship and advocacy.
“Valley Youth Theatre has long been recognized as a place where young people from diverse backgrounds can learn and grow as individuals, performers and leaders,” Fink said. “This transformational performing arts experience has impacted thousands of Valley youth since 1989.”
Other members of the executive committee include:
- Mario Romero, designated broker at The Melcher Agency, vice chair
- Brian Etheridge, director of G&A Business Architecture at Freeport McMoRan, treasurer
- Laura Stover, partner at Nearhood Law Offices, and Kiana Cacchione, corporate communications at Intel, co-secretaries
- Bill Ottinger, CEO of Bright Orange Ideas, immediate past chair
- Hope Ozer, VYT founding chair, also serving on the committee
Additional board members are Alison Bates, Joe Chandler, Travis Chester, Tom Evans, Emily Flint, Pamela Georgelos, Joshua Symons, Suzanne Trevino and Ryan Tubbs.
The 2025-26 season opened this month with “Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School,” which runs through Aug. 31. Upcoming productions include “Little Shop of Horrors,” Nov. 1-16 at the Herberger Theater Center; “A Winnie-The-Pooh Christmas Tail,” Dec. 5-23 at Valley Youth Theatre; “PUFFS,” Feb. 13-March 1, 2026, at Valley Youth Theatre; “Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Musical,” April 10-26, 2026, at Valley Youth Theatre; and “Shrek The Musical,” June 12-28, 2026, at the Herberger Theater Center.

Valley Youth Theatre, founded in 1989, offers mainstage shows, performing arts classes and youth programs including Literacy and the Arts, Sponsor-a-Seat and the Nigel Ross Scholarship Fund.
