Good morning and happy Wednesday. Rain is on the radar today, with downpours expected to begin around 10am. Hurricane Erin’s path up the Atlantic has prompted beach closures across New York for swimming. This soggy streak sticks around into Thursday, but the forecast is looking much brighter for Friday and Saturday — clear skies and summer sunshine are on the way.

A double bike lane on 10th Avenue clearly wasn’t enough for this peloton, spotted sweeping uptown last night. While I fumbled for my camera after seeing them downtown, Catie was quicker on the draw and snapped the riders at W49th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Any idea who the rolling crew was?
