Thursday, June 26
Blue October in concert
Blue October returns to Fort Worth for the second time this month as part of their “Argue With A Tree Tour 2025,” a nostalgic journey back to the roots of their musical beginnings. The special tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of their first live concert film and album, Argue With A Tree, which captures the raw emotion and angst of songs released on Blue October’s first three albums. The band released their 13th album, Happy Birthday, in 2024. They’ll play at Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall.
Jesse Daniel in concert
Singer Jesse Daniel may have grown up in California, but he’s as country as they come. His brand of country rock music is raw and cathartic, often steeped in longing and fueled by deep, unflinching introspection. He’s released two albums in his career, his 2020 debut Son of San Lorenzo and Countin’ the Miles in 2024. He’ll play at Billy Bob’s Texas.
Friday, June 27
Magnolia at the Modern: The Life of Chuck

It features performances by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Mark Hamill, and more, with narration by Nick Offerman. The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Night of Strings at the Garden: Travels in Sound
Listeners can visit Romania, Norway, and Panama as guest conductor Ron Spigelman leads the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra strings in an evening inspired by folk traditions, dance, and music of the Romantic era. Bartók’s Rumanian Folk Dances and Still’s Danzas de Panamá are rooted in cultural traditions, while Grieg’s Two Norwegian Airs evokes the serenity of Norway’s countryside. Schreker’s Intermezzo offers a lush, orchestral contrast with its rich, Romantic string textures. The concert will be in the Lecture Hall at Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Sundown Collaborative Theatre presents The Amphibians
Set 13 years in the future, The Amphibians takes place in west central Florida shortly after the point of no return in the fight against climate change. When two high-schoolers unearth a wondrous discovery in the woods, they learn hard lessons about the evolution of friendship and what it means to take care of something at the end of the world. The production runs through July 6 at the Theatre Denton Annex within Golden Triangle Mall in Denton.

Ashley McBryde in concert
Country singer Ashley McBryde’s first album in 2018 was called A Girl Going Nowhere, but she quickly proved that title wrong, as her first two albums reached the top 10 on the Billboard Country charts.
