Sean Barnard breaks down his best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s Los Angeles Sparks vs. Dallas Wings matchup.

There is just one game of WNBA action on today’s Wednesday slate as the Los Angeles Sparks host the Dallas Wings.

The Sparks hold a 16-18 record on the season and sit in ninth place in the standings, just outside the playoff picture. The Wings sit in 11th place with a 9-26 record on the season. With about 10 games remaining in the regular season, this is an important opportunity for Los Angeles to keep making its playoff push. It is 6-4 across its past 10 games. You can check out the full game preview and prediction on DK Network here.

Los Angeles enters as an 8.5-point favorite and holds -355 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Wings hold +280 odds of pulling off the outright upset, with the game total set at 183 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action, even with just one game taking place. Here are my three favorite WNBA prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Sparks vs. Wings matchup.

There were lofty expectations for Paige Bueckers after she was selected with the No. 1 pick in the last WNBA draft. While it has not translated to team success at the desired rate, Bueckers has settled in for a really impressive rookie season. Across her opening 28 games, the UConn product is averaging 18.8 points, 5.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. She has tallied over 18.5 points in 15 of the 28 games and five of her past eight.

She will continue to see a permanent green light in the offense, with Arike Ogunbowale set to miss her fourth straight game due to a knee injury. Ogunbowale is second on the team in scoring and leaves 13.9 field-goal attempts up for grabs while she is on the sideline. Across the past three games with the four-time All-Star out, Bueckers has attempted 18, 21 and 19 shots. For reference, she is averaging 15.3 field-goal attempts per game on the season. This is a friendly matchup against a Los Angeles defense that ranks dead last in opponent points per game at 88.8 per contest. The Sparks also rank 12th in defensive rating, 12th in opponent field-goal percentage and 11th in opponent three-point percentage.

These two teams faced off on Friday, with Bueckers dropping 29 points in the matchup. She was limited to 18 points in the previous game against the Aces, but she played fewer than 30 minutes for the first time since July due to it being a blowout. The Sparks play at the second-quickest pace in the WNBA, so there should be plenty of opportunities for offense for both teams. With Ogunbowale sidelined and the Sparks holding some significant defensive concerns, expect Bueckers to make the most of additional shot opportunities and soar past 18.5 points for the 16th time this season and second straight matchup with Los Angeles.

It has been an injury-ridden season for Maddy Siegrist. The Villanova product was selected with the third overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft and has shown some of her best flashes when she has been on the court. Across the 17 games she has played, including six starts, Siegrist is averaging 11.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Across the past three games since she has been re-inserted into the starting lineup, Siegrist is averaging 20.0 points and has tallied 15+ points in all three games. She also greatly benefits from Ogunbowale’s injury and has seen her offensive role scaled up.

Some of this has been driven by where the Wings sit in the standings, but they have leaned more on their young talent of late. Siegrist is playing 33.6 minutes per game and shooting 64.9% from the field and 45.5% from beyond the three-point arc over the past three games. Her last three games mark the three games with her most minutes logged all season, and expect this to be a trend that continues.

How much of this is a hot streak and how much of it is Siegrist truly finding her footing is still to be determined. But for the time being, she is serving as the number two option in this Dallas offense and is worth capitalizing on. With her level of opportunity as large as it has ever been and facing one of the worst defenses in the WNBA, count on Siegrist recording 15+ points for the fourth straight game.

On the other side of the matchup, Azura Stevens’ three-point prop jumps out. Dallas has also had plenty of defensive concerns. It allows 87.3 points per game to opponents, which ranks 12th in the WNBA, 11th in opponent field-goal percentage, and dead last in opponent three-point percentage allowed. While the Wings do rank sixth in opponent three-point attempts, the 24.1 three-point attempts per game produced against the Wings is still a comfortable figure.

So far this season, Stevens is averaging 14.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. She is shooting a career-best 40.8% from beyond the three-point arc while attempting 4.5 perimeter shots per game. Stevens is third on the team in three-point attempts per game and is the only regular starter shooting above 37.2% from the perimeter. The former champion has tallied two or more made three-pointers in 17 of the 34 games played this season and shot 2-for-5 from beyond the arc in Friday’s matchup against the Wings.

She is averaging 2.0 made three-pointers per game in August and has reached this total in four of the eight games. Los Angeles has the third-best three-point percentage in the league and relies on this as a key part of its offense. Stevens has been one of the more consistent sources of production all season and has been particularly hot of late. Her season-long 40.8% three-point percentage is impressive enough, but she has shot 44.4% from beyond the arc over her past eight games. Count on Los Angeles to continue leaning on her skill set and for Stevens to answer the call. Look for her to knock down a pair of triples for the second straight matchup with the Wings and 18th time this season.
