Deputies were in a standoff at a beachside Malibu home Wednesday with a person wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.
The standoff began just after 10 a.m. in the 25000 block of Malibu Road near Puerco Beach and a public beach access point.
Details about the assault that led to the law enforcement response were not immediately available.
Video showed items strewn on the beach outside the house and several deputies in tactical gear. An ambulance and at least three patrol SUVs were in front of the house.
