GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks man has been recognized by Forbes as one of the top financial advisors in the state.
Ross Johnson, of Edward Jones, was ranked No. 2 in North Dakota on Forbes’ list of Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors. The rankings recognize financial advisors by state who are younger than 40 with at least four years of experience.
“I’m incredibly proud of this honor. I believe in building long-term relationships with clients to help them navigate every life stage and all market cycles,” Johnson said in a statement. “As a member of the younger generation of financial advisors, I plan to be here for my clients for many years to come.”
Johnson is one of five North Dakotans recognized on the Best-In-State list. It’s the third year Ross has been recognized by Forbes, according to a release from Edward Jones. Last year, he also ranked No. 22 on Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list.
Four others from the Grand Forks area were named on this year’s Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list. They are:
- Thomas Reule, Edward Jones, Devils Lake, No. 10
- Matt Odenbach, Edward Jones, Grand Forks, No. 11
- Paul Hensrud, Ameriprise Financial Services, Grand Forks, No. 21
- Annette Thompson, Raymond James Financial Services, Crookston, No. 124
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
