The Detroit Lions wrapped up training camp with a joint practice against the Houston Texans on Thursday, and with a new injury question on their offensive line.

Lions center Graham Glasgow left late in practice in Allen Park to be evaluated for a lower leg injury.

Glasgow was injured while pass blocking in a situational period at the end of practice. He spent several minutes on the field with trainers after play resumed, eventually laying on his back while trainers looked at his left leg.

Kingsley Eguakun took Glasgow’s place at center with the first-team offense.

Glasgow has been one of the Lions’ most indispensable players since moving from right guard to center in the fourth practice of training camp. Initially, he was ticketed to change guard spots in 2025 after playing left guard last season, but the Lions wanted a more veteran presence in the middle of their line to replace the retired Frank Ragnow.

Rookie second-round pick Tate Ratledge spent all spring taking first-team center reps, and opened training camp at the position before moving to right guard.

Ratledge has played his best over the past week, though coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday he hoped to get Ratledge snaps at center again soon.

“We’ve just kind of let (Ratledge) deep dive at guard with (Penei) Sewell and (Taylor) Decker on his bumpers,” Campbell said. “We just feel like that’s been good, but we’ve got to get him worked back in there some and really that’s kind of where we’re at.”

The Lions have had one of the NFL’s best offensive lines in recent years, but struggled at times this summer picking up blitzes. Sewell at right tackle and Decker at left tackle are the only returning starters in the same positions they played last year.

Glasgow is expected to start at center if healthy, Ratledge will play right guard and second-year lineman Christian Mahogany will play left guard.

The Lions open the regular season Sept. 7 against the Green Bay Packers.
