AUGUST 21, 2025 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent via email from UT San Antonio President Taylor Eighmy to all faculty and staff.
Over the past year, our Brand & Marketing Task Force and Communications Task Force — working in close partnership with the strategic consulting firm Prophet and numerous colleagues across both campuses— have been building something truly extraordinary. The result is a visionary brand narrative that reflects our aspirations as one new, united powerhouse institution.
Our brand principles, narrative, visual assets and forthcoming campaigns will all convey the story of our transformation, capturing who we are becoming together while keeping the special spirit of who we are as Roadrunners central to our identity.
I am deeply grateful to our colleagues immersed in this work, and I am equally grateful to each one of you for participating in discussion and listening sessions along the way. Your voices and perspectives have been central to shaping our shared identity as we join together as one university, and this milestone would not have been possible without your thoughtful engagement.
That said, after months of dedicated collaboration with leadership, integration committees, and hundreds of stakeholders, the time has now arrived to reveal what we’re driving toward. In advance of sharing our new narrative with the world on September 1, it is only fitting that our most important audience—all of you—be given an early glimpse of what’s ahead.
With great pride and excitement, I am pleased to share a preview of our new look, brand narrative and events to launch the new UT San Antonio.

As we look to Day One, I am inspired by how far we have come together in just one year. The remarkable progress we’ve made reflects your dedication, inspiration and commitment to our mission. Thank you for helping shape this historic chapter in our university’s history. I could not be prouder to share this moment with you as we introduce our new UT San Antonio to the world.
