Geddes, N.Y. — Unlike the first day of the New York State Fair, Friday will bring sunshine and warmer temperatures, making it feel more like summer.
The high will reach 81 degrees Friday afternoon under clear blue skies, according to the National Weather Service. Humidity will stay low, so it should feel comfortable while walking the fairgrounds.
The day will start cool, with morning temperatures in the 60s, but it will warm quickly by late morning.
At night, skies will stay clear, and temperatures will dip to about 59. A sweatshirt or light jacket might come in handy for evening concerts or rides. Winds will be calm at 3 to 6 mph.
So, no umbrellas needed for Friday, just sunscreen for the afternoon sun.
