Relations have gotten pretty frosty since star pass rusher Micah Parsons requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 1.
Now, references to the Cowboys have disappeared from the top of Parsons’ social media accounts.
Parsons’ bio on X (formerly Twitter) now reads simply “Penn state 2021. TBD” and his banner photo is a photo of his post game press conference at the 2019 Cotton Bowl with Penn State.
His profile picture on X is now a short Bible verse that he also shared on his account Thursday night.

On Instagram, Parsons’ bio is also conspicuously lacking Dallas Cowboys mentions. His profile picture on that platform is a photo of a lion under the words “use pain as fuel.”
Parsons is in the middle of a weekslong “hold-in” as he seeks a record-setting extension ahead of the final year of his rookie contract. The latest in the dispute came Wednesday as team owner Jerry Jones told franchise great Michael Irvin that Parsons’ agent David Mulugheta had got in the way of contract negotiations earlier this year.

The updated social media profiles might be deja vu for Dallas fans. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also removed Cowboys references from his social media last year when he was in the middle of negotiations with the team last summer.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has mentioned Mulugheta several times during the offseason, mostly as an obstacle to getting a Parsons extension done.
The Dallas Cowboys owner offered more details in a YouTube interview with Cowboys great Michael Irvin.
