SAN ANTONIO – A late-night fire tore through a Northwest Side home, leaving its residents looking for a new place to stay, officials said.

The fire started around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at a home off Westhill Place near Fredericksburg Road.

Firefighters arriving on the scene found smoke pouring from the house, which they described as a hoarder residence. Crews managed to bring the fire under control quickly, but the interior sustained significant damage, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

No injuries were reported. Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.

Authorities said the home’s residents, who all escaped unharmed, will be forced to find another place to stay.
