Caitlin Clark will miss the Indiana Fever’s game on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Sparks with a left groin injury, the team announced.

The Fever did not announce if Clark will miss any other games beyond Thursday. Indiana is set to visit the Dallas Wings and 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick Paige Bueckers on Friday.

Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, was absent for five games earlier this season while dealing with a quad injury.

On Tuesday, Clark scored a season-low six points in her fifth game back from injury, a 94-86 win over the Seattle Storm. She was 3-for-13 on field goals, 0-for-6 from 3-point range and recorded a game-high eight turnovers.

Through nine games this season Clark is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals. The Fever currently sit in eighth place with a 7-7 record.

Thursday will also mark the first game for the Fever since waiving DeWanna Bonner after failing to trade the veteran. Guard Aari McDonald was signed for the remainder of the season.
