After midweek rain, the weekend is shaping up to be calmer.
Friday started off with cloud cover across much of Dallas-Fort Worth, but very limited rain. Rain chances were still possible in the afternoon for much of the region, the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office said, but were quite slim, with about a 10% chance of isolated showers.
Friday’s high of 93 is a little cooler than average, but the temperature is expected to warm up a few degrees for the weekend. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the high is expected to hover between 96 and 97 degrees.
Next week, storm chances return with an unseasonably strong summer cold front, which could drop the highs down into the 80s. Rain chances are expected to be highest next week on Wednesday, which is also expected to be the coolest day during the front.
