PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Drivers in north Phoenix will have to take alternate routes as an ongoing construction project is closing busy freeway ramps.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the eastbound Loop 101 Agua Fria ramps connecting to north- and southbound I-17 remain shut down for the second weekend in a row. Officials say crews are doing concrete pavement replacement on the ramps.
The eastbound Loop 101 ramps are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, August 29 before Labor Day weekend.
Alternate Loop 101 routes:
- Eastbound Loop 101 to southbound SR 51
- Exit eastbound Loop 101 at 35th Avenue and use Deer Valley Road or Union Hills Drive to get back onto I-17
