I-820 northbound lanes at Berry Street will close nightly for construction, detouring drivers to the frontage road.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Northbound lanes of Interstate 820 at Berry Street will close nightly this week as part of ongoing construction on the Southeast Connector project, officials said.

The closures are scheduled from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 9 p.m. Saturday until 4 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from South-Point Constructors. Drivers will detour to the frontage road.

During those times, all northbound traffic will be detoured to the frontage road. Berry Street under I-820 will also close during the same hours and days. Drivers will be directed to U-turn at Wilbarger Street or Ramey Avenue.

TxDOT advises motorists to plan ahead, allow extra time for commutes and consider alternate routes. The speed limit through the Southeast Connector corridor remains reduced to 55 mph.

Officials said all work is dependent on weather conditions.
