GREENWICH VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) — There is new life for thousands of items left behind by NYU students.
The school opened up its first ever ‘Swap Shop’ on Saturday and hundreds lined up to take part.
The shop allows students to take home new and gently used items left behind by former students.
Some of the most sought after items were microwaves, cleaning supplies and books.
The program is completely free. Organizers designed it to reduce unnecessary waste.
