More than four years after the deadly 2021 winter storm, Fort Worth is opening applications for federal grants to help residents still dealing with damage.

The city said applications are now being accepted for repair assistance, with a deadline of Nov. 25. Priority will go to low- and moderate-income households, with at least 70% of the funding required to benefit those groups.

The February 2021 storm plunged temperatures below zero across North Texas and led to widespread power outages, property damage and dozens of deaths.
