SAN ANTONIO (KFDA) – The Amarillo Sod Poodles defeated the San Antonio Missions by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
In similar fashion to Game 4, it was another scoreless game heading into the final frame and Gavin Conticello showed up big time.
A shot into the outfield scored Jean Walters and Ryan Waldschmidt to push Amarillo in front in the 9th inning.

Six different players registered a single hit to complete all of the offense for Amarillo in the ballgame.
Casey Anderson, who pitched the 8th inning, gets credited for the win and moves to 2-0 overall this season. In his 1.0 innings, he allowed no hits & no runs.
Landon Sims came in for the final three outs and they were all notched by way of strikeout for his 11th save of the season.
With the win, Amarillo takes control of the series now leading 3-2.
