PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are investigating several homicides throughout the city.
The first happened in the city’s Logan section as three men were sitting on the sidewalk on the 1700 block of West Ruscomb Street.
Police say a man walked up to the men unprovoked and began threatening them with a gun.
The gunman fired, striking a man who was sitting there.
Police say that man died at the hospital.
The shooter ran off, but police say he was later taken into custody.
Another man was shot and killed on the 6000 block of North Warnock Street in Fern Rock.
The 45-year-old, who was hit in the chest, died at the hospital a short time later.
An investigation is now underway as police search for the suspect.
In a third shooting, a man was found shot in the head on the 600 block of East Thayer Street in Kensington.
He died at Temple University Hospital.
The search continues for the shooter and clues to the motive.
