2 Foot Lockers targeted in crash-and-grab burglaries this week: CPD

Thieves hit a Foot Locker store in Chicago for the second time this week. The store in Humboldt Park was broken into on Thursday.

CHICAGO (WLS) — Crash-and-grab thieves targeted a South Side Foot Locker on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the break-in and burglary happened in the 3300-block of South Martin Luther King Drive just after 6 a.m.

A suspect drove a Jeep SUV through the business’ front entrance, police said. A group of thieves then got out of the SUV and took property from inside.

The suspects got back into the SUV and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information.

This comes after crash-and-grab thieves recently targeted two other Foot Locker stores in Chicago.
