Thousands of San Diego Gas and Electric customers have been without power since late Saturday night.
One outage is in Chula Vista, where a car apparently went into power lines overnight.
“A vehicle has come into contact with our electric system and our crews are currently on scene making repairs,” the utility said.
The Chula Vista Police Department said it had no additional information on the vehicle.
The outage began at 11:48 p.m. Saturday in the areas of East H Street and Hilltop Drive, and G Street at Bay Boulevard, according to SDG&E.
More than 3,000 customers are affected. Restoration was expected by 11 a.m., according to the SDG&E website.
Another outage was reported near Pine Valley early Sunday, affecting several hundred customers. That one started just before 5 a.m. for as-yet unknown reasons which are still under investigation.
Power is expected to be restored there by 10 a.m. Sunday.
