
Vicinity Energy, which operates a combined heat-and-power plant at 2600 Christian St., recently took part in the Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia’s annual back-to-school drive.
Vicinity collected more than 100 items, including supplies and backpacks, for the drive, which benefits needy students in Philadelphia.
Vicinity, via more than 41 miles of underground steam piping, delivers low-carbon heating and cooling to more than 70 million square feet of buildings across Philadelphia neighborhoods. ••
