PHOENIX — SanTan Brewing Company and Huss Brewing Co. are partnering to host the first Rocktoberfest in downtown Chandler this fall, the companies announced.
The two-day event combines classic Oktoberfest traditions with rock ‘n’ roll for a blend of live music, craft beer and competitions.
“We’ve taken everything that people loved about our previous Oktoberfest and given it a fresh, new vibe that we know everyone is going to enjoy,” Co-owner of SanTan Brewing Company Jamie Hoffman said in the Wednesday announcement.
When is Rocktoberfest and what will it include?
Rocktoberfest will take place at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park East from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 and from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Attendees at the event will be able to purchase German fare and brews from SanTan Brewing and Huss Brewing, SanTan Spirits cocktails, hard ciders from Ciderboyz as well as non-alcoholic options from Athletic Brewing.
Each day of the festival has a live music lineup:
- Friday, Oct.3:
- Chadwicks – 4:45 p.m.
- The Dirt – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 4:
- DayWeather – 1:15 p.m.
- The Ultimate Bon Jovi – 3:15 p.m.
- Red Hot Cholo Peppers – 5:30 p.m.
- Lies and Roses – 8 p.m.
In addition to the entertainment, there will also be games and contests that festival-goers can take part in, including Weiner dog races, brat eating contest, keg stacking and stein holding.
Arizonans are currently able to purchase tickets and receive $5 off during August and September.
