One person was killed and another was critically injured in an auto-pedestrian crash, Fort Worth police said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — One person died and another person is in critical condition after they were hit by a truck in Fort Worth, police said. 

Police responded around 9:50 p.m. Sunday to the 3900 block of Benbrook Highway, Fort Worth police said in a press release. The accident involved a truck and two pedestrians walking on the service road, the release states. 

An adult female pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene, and an adult male pedestrian was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. 

The truck driver remained on the scene, according to the release. Police are investigating the incident.
