SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Zoo announced on Monday that it has donated 20,000 complimentary admission tickets, valued at over $500,000, to families, volunteers, and first responders affected by recent floods across Texas.

The initiative is part of the Zoo Cares: Together for Texans campaign.

The campaign, which ran from August 2-10, 2025, offered guests $10 admission. For each ticket purchased and used during this period, the zoo pledged to donate one admission ticket to those impacted by the floods.

The distribution of these tickets is being facilitated by community partners, including Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center (MHDD).

“The success of this effort reflects the power of Texans helping Texans,” said Tim Morrow, President and CEO of San Antonio Zoo. “We are grateful to every guest who supported the campaign. Their visit will provide an opportunity for thousands to find some solace with a complimentary visit to the San Antonio Zoo. Our thoughts and prayers remain with those affected, always and forever.”
