Dallas rapper Yella Beezy was released on bail and has been under house arrest after he was charged in connection with the death of fellow rapper Mo3.
DALLAS — Dallas rapper Yella Beezy has a trial date after he was arrested and charged with capital murder earlier this year for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill his fellow rapper and former friend-turned-rival Mo3 in 2020.
Yella Beezy, real name Markies Conway, is set to stand trial Feb. 2, 2026, court filings show.
A grand jury indicted Yella Beezy on a charge of capital murder while remuneration in March for allegedly paying Kewon White to murder Mo3, whose real name is Melvin Noble, in November of 2020.
Yella Beezy was released on bail March 28 after a judge reduced his bond from $2 million to $750,000, and has been under house arrest with electronic monitoring, as WFAA has previously reported.
Mo3 was reportedly shot and killed as he drove northbound on I-35E near Illinois Avenue and Clarendon Drive, just south of the Dallas Zoo, on Nov. 11, 2020, by someone driving a black Chevrolet Camaro. The driver in the Camaro reportedly fled the scene. Mo3 was taken to a hospital after the shooting and pronounced dead.
White and Devin Maurice Brown also face federal charges in connection with Mo3’s death, and were arrested shortly after his death, WFAA previously reported.
White is serving a nine-year sentence for a gun crime and is in federal custody, and Brown is booked in the Dallas County Jail, records show. Brown is set to stand trial in November, court records show.
Mo3 was best known for his hit singles “Errybody,” “Outside,” and “Broken Love,” and his murder had long been suspected to be connected to a feud.
