SAN ANTONIO – A woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot through a wall while she was sleeping.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the scene of a shooting in progress near the corner of Sahara and Desert Sands Drive.
Police say that the woman had been sleeping when her neighbor was handling a firearm in the apartment next door.
The neighbor’s firearm went off, and the bullet went through the connecting wall and struck the victim in the arm.
The woman was transported to the hospital for her injuries. It is unclear if her neighbor will be charged for the negligent discharge.
