LAS VEGAS – Linda Mae Jones, 73, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was born on June 24, 1952, in Casper, Wyoming. Throughout her life, Linda’s creativity and care showed in everything she did. She loved crocheting and sewing, and she treasured traveling, especially her trips to Alaska, which brought her great joy. Linda had a vibrant spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. She was known for her contagious laugh, the kind that could light up a room and make everyone laugh along with her. A social soul, she loved spending hours on the phone with her daughters, sister and friends and she cherished the companionship of Sonja and Dave, Andi, Terri, Pastor Vince, Paula, and Dave. Before COVID, she enjoyed going out to the movies, particularly action and comedy films. One of her favorite movies was The Passion of the Christ, a reflection of her deep faith. Linda was a devoted reader of the Bible and loved listening to sermons. She was also a passionate animal lover, especially fond of horses and dogs. Her family grew up surrounded by them and she always made sure there were animals in her home. Linda was strong-willed and opinionated, never shying away from sharing her views. She loved a good debate, especially when it came to politics and she had a way of keeping conversations lively. Linda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Romine and Tom Jones; her son, Tommy Romine; her parents, Lee Dole and Adeline Francis Pawlowski; and her brothers, Pat McConahay, Charlie McConahay, and Lee Dole Jr. She is survived by 10 children, Jacob Romine (Ana), Jessica Leslie (Jayson), Tina Jordan, Lisa Kumar, Renee Cox, Vanita Romine, Teena Jeffery (Tom), Gina Romine, Cindy Moss and Angelena Romero; her stepmother, Aliene Dole, countless grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary Poturalski and Micheal Dole. Linda will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her love of family and friends, and the strong presence she carried into every part of her life.
