Boyd was the spotter for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Last week at Pocono Raceway, Clayton Hughes served as the replacement spotter on the No. 47 car.
Now, heading into this weekend, Boyd has a new job. He’ll serve as the spotter for Chirstopher Bell in the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing entry.
Boyd has been signed as the spotter starting this weekend in Atlanta. He expected to remain as the spotter going forward.
Bell has collected 12 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series. That includes three in 2025.
NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar was also reprimanded for comments on the race in Mexico City. In his case, Spire Motorsports issued their own driver a $50,000 fine.
