An Emmy Award-winning actor has been spotted in Syracuse.

Tony Hale, best known for his roles in “Veep” and “Arrested Development,” visited Pastabilities on Monday, according to a photo posted by the Armory Square restaurant. The actor smiled big as he took a selfie with the staff.

“Thanks for visiting us @mrtonyhale,” Pastabilities wrote on Instagram.

Hale, 53, first rose to fame as Buster Bluth, the hook-handed member of a dysfunctional family on “Arrested Development.” He won two Emmys for his role as Gary Walsh, the personal assistant to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Selina Meyer on “Veep.”

The comedy actor has more than 180 credits, including voicing Forky in “Toy Story 4″ and Fear in “Inside Out,” plus movies and TV shows like “Chuck,” “American Ultra,” “The Sopranos,” “Stranger Than Fiction,” “Transformers: The Last Knight,” “Archibald’s Next Big Thing,” “Clifford the Big Red Dog” and “Hocus Pocus 2.” He most recently starred in “Sketch,” which is currently in theaters.

It’s unclear why Hale was in town.

According to recent casting calls, a movie called “Caroline” (reportedly starring “Meet the Parents” actress Teri Polo) is currently filming in Syracuse and an untitled TV pilot is set to begin production soon in Central New York. The Liverpool-based film studio American High is also expected to begin filming “Never Change!” next month, a film about former high school seniors in their 30s who return to complete their education after a tornado abruptly ended their final year in 2005.
