A Fort Worth mother has been arrested on a capital murder charge following the death of her infant, whose body was found inside a dumpster in July 2024.
Courtney Minor, 36, was booked into the Tarrant County jail this week, more than a year after the infant was found on July 14, 2024, in the 4700 block of Norma Street.
The baby’s body was inside a suitcase that had been placed in a dumpster. Officers said Minor was seen with the suitcase near the dumpster.
Minor later confessed that the baby had been alive at birth.

Minor faces an abuse of a corpse charge along with capital murder under 10 years old. Her bail for the charges was set at $550,000.
