ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas – A man with a history of theft arrests, including the 2018 theft of a live shark from a San Antonio aquarium, has been arrested once again in connection with a series of property crimes in Atascosa County.

Antone Sinclair Shannon, previously arrested for the shark theft, was also taken into custody in June 2025 after investigators recovered a stolen antique tractor in Bandera County. He was charged with the theft of a boat that occurred the same night, but bonded out shortly after the arrest.

This month, while investigating another property crime in northern Atascosa County involving a stolen welding machine, investigators obtained evidence linking Shannon to the theft. Working with the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office recovered the stolen welder and Shannon was arrested.
He is currently being held at the Bexar County Jail awaiting transport back to Atascosa County to face the latest felony theft charge.
