PHOENIX — A healthy food chain will officially enter the Valley market with two new restaurants that will open this fall.

Sweetgreen will open at Scottsdale Quarter on Sept. 23, according to a Tuesday announcement from the company.

A second location will open at Camelback and 32nd later this fall, according to CEO Jonathan Neman.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Sweetgreen to Arizona and become part of the vibrant communities in Scottsdale and Phoenix,” Neman said in the announcement.

What will the Sweetgreen restaurants be like?

Details about the Phoenix location were not released, but Sweetgreen said its restaurant in Scottsdale Quarter will be 2,515 square feet and will have room for 30 seated diners indoors and 36 seated diners on the restaurant’s patio. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The brand has open kitchens, along with menu items like the crispy rice bowl, miso glazed salmon and hot honey chicken.

Sweetgreen, which focuses on community impact, partners with local organizations to give back to neighborhoods.

That’s why, for the opening day for the Scottsdale Quarter location, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to St. Mary’s Food Bank for every meal purchased.
