SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead after falling out of a pickup truck late Tuesday night on the Northeast Side.
The accident happened just after 11 p.m. Tuesday along Scarsdale Road near Thousand Oaks Drive.
Investigators said the man was riding in the passenger seat when the door suddenly opened, causing him to fall onto the roadway. Emergency crews attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still working to determine how the door came open.
