2 juveniles in stolen car take Clay County deputies on a chase, ending at Orange Park Mall

  • June 27, 2025

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Two juveniles took Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle that ended at the Orange Park Mall on Thursday.

Deputies began receiving reports about a stolen vehicle out of Jacksonville that was driving through Clay County on Blanding Boulevard near the Academy Sports store around 1:40 p.m.

Deputies chased the stolen vehicle as the driver and passenger, who were later identified as juveniles, drove recklessly on a busy Blanding Blvd., hitting multiple vehicles on the road, CCSO said.

The juvenile driver eventually pulled over to the Orange Park Mall parking lot, and the two ran inside, where mall patrons pointed them out so deputies could take them into custody.

The driver was arrested and faces multiple charges. CCSO did not specify the charges at the time of the release.

The passenger was released to family members.

No one was injured.
