Baylor men’s basketball announced Friday that the Bears will face Louisville next February in a non-conference match-up in Fort Worth.
Set to be just the second time the two programs have met, the game will be played at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on Feb. 14, 2026. In the only previous matchup between the two teams No. 20 Baylor beat the Cardinals 66-63 to win the 2016 edition of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.
Scott Drew’s squad is coming off a 2024-25 season that saw the Bears go 20-15 to earn a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They beat 8-seed Mississippi State in a close one before losing to Cooper Flagg’s Duke in the second round.
Next season’s Bears will have to contend with losing star player V.J. Edgecombe who was drafted No. 3 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA draft. Scott Drew’s incoming recruiting class is ranked No. 32 in the country by 247Sports and headlined by 5-star forward Tounde Yessoufou from California.
